Day 4: The Allowed Feeling

Today's prompt

Which feeling are you allowed to show? For a lot of people it is anger, or nothing at all. Describe the last time you showed it. Then name the feeling underneath that one, the one that did not get shown.

Read the prompt above twice. Once fast, once slow. Notice what your first reaction wants to be. That reaction is data.

Anger is honest about one thing: something matters. It is just not honest about what.

You can sit with this for 5 minutes today and put it down. You can come back tomorrow. There's no completion gate, no streak, no score. The work is the reward — and the work is just paying attention to what came up when you read it.

Mr. Relentless

tough-love, direct

“Anger is honest about one thing: something matters. It is just not honest about what.”

In the app, Mr. Relentless pushes back on what you wrote. No platitudes. He'll surface the part you skipped.

Sparks

ILTY keeps your words verbatim. On your Day 30 you see your Day-1 sentence next to the Day-30 one, the mood map of your 30 days, and the arc between them. Join any day in November; the 30 days are yours, at your own pace, with 60 days to finish. In the app it starts with a 7-day free trial.

Mr. Relentless will ask what was under it.→
