Day 26: What Help Looks Like

Today's prompt

Write what you actually want from someone when it is bad. Advice? Silence? Company? A distraction? A task? Most people never say, so they get the wrong thing and conclude that talking does not work. Write it so you can say it next time.

Read the prompt above twice. Once fast, once slow. Notice what your first reaction wants to be. That reaction is data.

People are not bad at helping you. They are guessing. You can stop making them guess.

You can sit with this for 5 minutes today and put it down. You can come back tomorrow. There's no completion gate, no streak, no score. The work is the reward — and the work is just paying attention to what came up when you read it.

Mindful Guide

gentle, present-moment

“People are not bad at helping you. They are guessing. You can stop making them guess.”

In the app, the Mindful Guide sits with what you wrote — slowly, without rushing you toward a reframe.

ILTY keeps your words verbatim. On your Day 30 you see your Day-1 sentence next to the Day-30 one, the mood map of your 30 days, and the arc between them. Join any day in November; the 30 days are yours, at your own pace, with 60 days to finish. In the app it starts with a 7-day free trial.
